Welcome from Jo Nganda, Local President 2019
It gives me great pleasure to Step Up and be your 2019 Local President for JCI Greenwich. Since Joining I have benefited from the support, encouragement and learning gained from you all and entire JCI. As your Local President I want to make a difference by encouraging members to push away your self-doubt and to Step Up in your desired endeavours and become the best person you can and want to be.  The focus for JCI UK in 2019 is about pushing ourselves outside of our comfort zones; stepping up and being an active citizen by taking advantage of all the opportunities available as well as  our health and well being, in particular how we feel about ourselves and our own mental health. I’d like to encourage you to meet new people and take advantage of all the training opportunities given within our 2019 plan. I have been inspired to get involved in social events, as well as the skills development and learning opportunities and have greatly improved my leadership skills. As President, I will seek to promote JCI’s mission to provide development opportunities that empower young people to create positive change, work with members from many different backgrounds, cultures and professions to support and improve their personal interests and communities through learning. As an active citizen myself I have gained practical experience through my local chamber’s workshops, projects and organisational boards and developed new skills which have aided my leadership growth. I want to support you to Step Up and step out of your comfort zones and take up the opportunities offered by JCI to enhance your skills, give back to the community, network with business leaders and experience new cultures. Our priorities for 2019 will focus on engagement, empowerment and growth. I challenge you for the year ahead, as a member of JCI Greenwich to Step Up as we continue to grow in our community and realise this plan of impact together.
